A house built on pattern, material and permanence
Founded in 2019 between Antwerp and Milan, CALYNN ACE is a contemporary house built around three disciplines: pattern, material, and permanence.
Craft
Every pattern is corrected on a body, never on a hanger. A piece leaves the atelier only after its third fitting.
Materials
Two mills, both family-run: worsteds from Biella, silks from Nishijin. Fibres are chosen for abrasion resistance first.
Design
Proportion before ornament. If a detail cannot be justified structurally, it is removed.
Permanence
Repairs have no expiry. Send us a coat in ten years — we will still hold the pattern.
The story
CALYNN ACE began in a printer's loft on Nationalestraat with one cutting table and a refusal: that clothing should be disposable. Seven years later the table is still there, and so is the refusal.
